2009-2010 Annual Schedule
Three Term of Study

(Holidays modeled after the Palm Beach County Public School Calendar):

Term I: August 31st  through November 16th, 2009- “Fall”

Festival Concert at the end of Term I on Monday, November 16th; at 7pm; “Annual Teddy Bear Concert” (Bring your favorite Teddy Bear to the concert to participate) There will be a Teddy Bear Shop before and after the concert.

October 19, 2009: “Oktoberfest Concert and Apple Sale” at 7pm

Term II:  January 11th  through April 12, 2010- “Winter”

Final concert at the end of Term II on Monday night April 12th, at 7pm; “Institute Night of Stars Showcase.”

February 8, 2010: “1st Annual Valentine’s All Viennese Concert” at 7pm

March 22, 2010: “2nd Annual Messiah Sing A Long Concert” at 7pm

Term III: May 3rd through June 14, 2010 – “Spring / Summer”

June 14th at 7pm; “ A Prism Concert: A Summer Evening of Poetry and Music”

Class Schedules

All Term Classes, Ensembles, and Symphony Orchestra Rehearsals are held Monday Afternoons and Evenings

I. Children’s Institute: Grades 2-5 (Students must be 7 years old)
4:30pm Beginning and Intermediate
5pm Children’s Chorus (Gr. 2-6)
5:30-6pm Children’s String Orchestra

II. Youth / Adult Institutes: Jr High – Adult
5:30pm Trombone Choir
6pm Beginning & Intermediate Technique Classes
6pm Strings (String Quartet, Cello Choir)
6:30pm Young Women in Harmony (Gr. 8 – College)
7pm Band (Clarinet Choir, Flute/Recorder Choir, Saxophone Choir, Brass Choir)
7pm Adult Advanced String Technique classes
7pm Young Men in Harmony ( Gr 9-College)
8pm (SCSO) Shepherd Community Symphony Orchestra Rehearsal
